Monday Ho Hum Day

I was not ready for Monday to come, can you agree?

Back into the bump and grind.

I especially wasn't ready to pick out an outfit this morning!  Don't you just hate that moment when you enter your closet and think, whose clothes are these?  I would have never picked this out?!  I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!  As I'm writing this I realize I am going to probably do that all week, four more outfits to ponder.

Well, needless to say, I picked out an outfit and this is what I could come up with one eye open and all of my being just wanting to get back in bed!

Top: Anthropologie
Jeans: AG
Shoes: Target
Scarf: H&M

Dear Target,
As long as you plan on making wedges, I'm going to keep on buying them!

Are you not loving colored denim?  I can't get enough.  I bought another pair this weekend but I'm trying to decide if I should keep them.

Thanks for reading!

Insta-Obsessed

I love Instagram!  I could Instagram pictures all day long!

What makes me more obsessed, is the fact that there are so many things to do with your Intagram pictures now!

The most obvious thing that could be done would be to print them off!!  But how many pictures have you taken on your phone and wished you could frame it?

Well, PostalPix is the way to make that happen.  Good news it's available for Android phones soon!  When you order the print outs from Instagram they can come in 4X4, 5X5 or 8X8.  Aluminum prints are available in 4X4 and they offer mouse pads too!

You also have the option to print off any photos from your camera, not just those from Instagram.  Those photos are available in 4X6, 5X7 and 8X10.

StickyGram is one of my favorite ways to be able to hold the photos from your phone in your hands.  For $14.99 you can get 9 of your Instagram photos on magnets!  It's a quirky to see your memories on the fridge.  My hubby and I had our last vacation printed out with StickyGram.

I would have love to have them in my locker when I was in school.  I need to keep that in mind for future presents for my niece.

This might be my next purchase for sure!

Canvas Pop is a way to have your Instagram photos transferred to a canvas!  This is great website to get inspired.  There are so many things they can do to make your pictures extra special in your house.

stitchtagram is something I bet both of my sisters are going to be on board with!  They are going to go nuts along with me about this new idea!

This is a company that hand makes your fun times into a pillow!  This takes the t-shirt quilt to a whole new level!

I'm obsessed!  I want several for my living room!

Which is your Instagram addition is your favorite?  Do you know of any other I need to know about or perhaps share on my blog?

Father of the Year

I have to share this video with you all!!

This is a video of dad who plays Queen on the kids way to school.  The song usually lasts from their driveway to the school yard.

This is my future family!  I would love to have a sweet and cute tradition just like this!  I believe I would be more likely to sing along then my hubby would be with the future babinos.

Enjoy!

NYC in Review

I can't believe that I was in New York a week ago.  It was a great break from reality and almost just as fun to go back and look at the pictures.

Almost...

When Leigh and I first got to NewYork one of the first things we did was walk the Brooklyn Bridge.  While crossing the bridge there was a vendor selling these mangos that looked like a small flower and they were so good!

This is the little sis and I after brunchin' it in Central Park.

This might be my favorite picture from the whole trip.

Williamsburg Bridge

So the rain didn't us from going out and about.

So we raced our way to the Rockefeller building and when we got there it was pouring rain, so all we could was laugh about it.

Oh my goodness!  You have to see this show!

Chillin' litterally in Times Square

You'll stay up, 'till this dump shines like the top of the Chrysler building

Tulips were everywhere

This was spotted when we crossed the Brooklyn bridge.

I saw this pic and had to send it to my hubby!!

Who knew?

One more time for old time's sake!

Sail Away

TGIF!  This was a long week, do you agree?  I feel like I am still trying to catch up on sleep after the NYC trip!

I love to mix prints so that's I picked out this outfit this morning.  I can't get enough of stripes and animal print!

Top: Anthropologie
Jeans: James Jeans
Belt: H&M
Shoes: Target
Necklace: Nordstrom

I'm so ready for summer and the sailor stripes on this shirt make me think of wearing shorts and eating snow cones and enjoying the outdoors with friends and the hubby!

The countdown for summer is on!

Princess Inspired

This morning, while I was staring at my closet I must have subconsciously thought back to a photo I posted on here yesterday.

This dress reminds me of Princess Katherine Middleton.  She has such a way of showing off her waive figure without showing much at all.  I don't resemble Kate, except for the fact that I too have brunette hair, but this dress reminds me of her style.

I bought this dress last spring from Anthropologie.  The necklace is also from Anthro, but I found an Etsy site that makes some similar styles.  They even include a single strand version of the accessory.

When accessorizing my outfits I like to have a POC (pop of color) and I try to remember the color wheel.  Try styling your outfits with opposite colors, it's unexpected!

Mid Week Music

Every Monday and Tuesday night you can bet I'm sitting in front my television watching The Voice!!  I cannot get enough of this show.  I can't say that I followed the show last season, like I have this season, but I will probably follow it from now on.

This past week one of my favorite performances was from Tony Lucca!  It was so fun because he was a former mouseketeer singing in front a former cast member, another cast member's song!

Confusing?  Well, Tony was on the Mickey Mouse Club with Christina and he did his on rendition of Baby One More Time.  Genius!

Enjoy!

Now we should hope for one crazy cool reunion group!  Tony, Justin, Britney, Christina and maybe Ryan Gosling should be there too.  What a good looking group of people.

So so Happy!

So, do you ever get excited for big news for people you don't even know and will probably never meet?

I do... All the time!!  I love me some celebrity news that fills my heart with pure joy!

I know that's so silly, but I love when good things happen to lovely people.  Here is the latest news that makes me smile so big you'd be able to see ALL my teeth and I probably screamed on the inside, "YEA!!"

Reece Witherspoon is pregnant!  Love her and this fuchsia dress she sported on Easter!!  Love me some a sweet Southern lady.  Can I please be this chic when it comes time to me growing my own child?

Photo from people.com

Bill and Giuliana are going to be parents!!   They are going to be parents via surrogacy in "late summer."  Let me just tell you that I am not the only one in my family that is excited for this couple!  First my older sister texted me their news followed by my mom texting me that they too are expecting a baby!  I love them so much!  They have shared their very private battle with the public about infertility and then her struggle with breast cancer.  When you watch their show you can see their faith in God and their ability to give it all to HIM in the hardest of times.
Look at her, she's glowing in the picture!

Photo from Us Weekly
The return of Kate Middleton!!  I totally have a girl crush on both Middleton sisters, just sayin'.  She's been tucked away living the princess life, but she has come back looking as gorgeous as ever!  OK really, how does one get their hair so shiny?

Photo from people.com
Last but certainly not least, my celebrity crush, Jason Segal has found love!!  And I love her too!  Michelle Williams is a class act and I love all her work.  I think both can do no wrong.  I loved them both separately but together they make one fantastically gorgeous couple.

Flashback:
While in New York with the hubby in November, Jason was the guest when we attended a taping of David Letterman.  Pure coincidental!!

I know this is one crazy good quality photo, but my mom took it on the her phone of us on the TV.  That's me, in the green sweater and the handsome dark man next to me is the hubby!

Leigh took this of me in the subway, this past weekend!  Move over Emily Blunt!

I can't wait to see this movie!

The hubby and I had quite a long courtship so we can't wait to compare our story to theirs when it comes out on Friday!!

Go see 5 Year Engagment!

Happy Belated Earth Day!

So while in The Big Apple, I missed Earth Day.

Earth Day's big message is recycle, recycle, and more recycling.

But what do you do with all the those random empty make-up tubes, bottles and compacts?  You can also recycle them!  Catching on to the theme?  You can take all empty packaging to your local Origins store and they will recycle it!  Imagine that.  As simple as taking it to the store and they will figure out how to keep it out of a landfill.

Origins started this program in 2009 and have successfully recycled over 17,000 pounds of packaging.  The program is available in the United States, Canada, the UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.

This is my favorite skincare line and I've got more incentive to buy their products knowing they are doing to their part in making the world just a little greener!

So So Sorry...

So I went away for a short while.  My friend Leigh and I took a trip to see the little sis in NYC!  More on that soon!  Until then, I want to share this video of this Russian dog like cat.  I am not normally a cat person, but there is something about this cat that makes it so darn cute!  Maybe I love her because she's Russian and that whole country holds a special place in my heart.

It's where the hubby and I became a we!

Calling All Brides!

So the hubby and I will be married for 2 years this coming August!  Wow!  Typing that makes it feel like it's been longer and like it just happened at the same time.

Well, planning our wedding was so much fun but picking out the dress was one of the best parts, obviously.  It seems to be getting easier, or harder depending on how you look at it, for brides to find, "The Dress."  Many stores and companies are realizing that the bridal industry is a profitable venture.

One that I will always hold dear to my heart is BHLDN.  A part of Anthropologie, this website will feature unique looks for a bride.  Some are unlike you would find at a typical bridal store.  If you are ever in Chicago or Houston, this is a must stop for singles or married women.

This is really a one stop shop.  Everything you could need for The Big Day is on the website.  You can buy your dress, shoes, decorations, invitations and the lingerie you'll wear on the honeymoon, all with a couple of clicks and a hefty credit card bill.  It's a great place to just browse for inspiration for DIY's as well.

By the looks of it, BHLDN is really planning on banking off The Great Gatsby.  I personally, cannot wait to see this movie!!  Leo, Carey, Isla and Tobey My oh my, what a stellar cast.  Let me bless with the first photo from the movie.

I am as giddy as a preteen at the sight of a Justin Beiber poster.  Sometimes, I'm more excited for the fashion in the movie, then the film itself.

Ok, let's get back on topic....

BCBG has also joined the bridal sensation.  Now BCBG's wedding style is a little sexier than that of the Anthro family.

I love the last dress for a reception dress or even a rehearsal dress.

Thirdly, Isaac Mizrahi has also ventured back into the wedding world.  Mizrahi had his own bridal line and was once one for Target's key designers and launched their affordable wedding line, before he left for Liz Claiborne.  Well, no longer with Liz Claiborne, he decided to dip his toes in the wedding pool of bridal dresses.

You can purchase his dresses on Aisle New York .  His collection just launched this month and can be purchased on this member's only website.  After you order your dress, it arrives at your door in 2 weeks!

Isaac's style is very clean and precise.

So many choices for brides that I didn't have even just two years ago!

With all this being said, a new company announced they are also joining team Bride!

TOP SHOP!!  This British retailer is launching their line this June!  I'm so excited because this is where I believe my lil sis may be getting her dress there someday!  They have yet to release photos of their duds, but when they do, you know I will be featuring it here!!
