Jon Cozart is the genius behind this hilarious spoof. And I gotta support a fellow Texan.
He gets real. What did happen after the princesses get married?
I love that I saw this the same day that I registered for my next Disney Race!
The Wine and Dine Half Marathon will be my next Disney race. I told the hubby that this would be my healthiest year yet and these races are keeping me motivated to keep extremely active. So much so, the Wine and Dine is how we will celebrate my birthday!
Today is everyone's favorite Hanson, Taylor's 30th Birthday!
What?!?
Did you know the man has 5 kids.... 5!!!!! All before he his 30th anniversary of birth. That's hard for me to comprehend... That's a lot of children in such a short time.
Never mind, that.
To celebrate here are the Oklahoma trio covering one of the other Taylor's big hits.
I love Mila Kunis and I cannot wait for the debut of OZ:
The Great and Powerful but this combo is even better when a fresh faced
radio host puts his interviewing skills to the test for the world to
see. He is charming, perhaps it is his accent, and down to earth. You will actually learn more about him and his social life than anything pertaining to the movie. Mila boosts his confidence throughout the interview so much so, he asks
her to be his date to an upcoming wedding.
Seriously, if you are a Downton Abbey fan you have have to see this.
And if you aren't a Downton fan, I promise you, this show is worth the investment of your time. The plot thickens with every episode and there are multiple story lines playing out before you. You love and sometimes hate the characters all at the same time.
If nothing else, watch it for the most gorgeous house I have ever seen... and the fashion evolution! The show begins in 1912 after the Titanic sank and you see the women wearing corseted gowns and the women look delicate in their lace and pastels and their outfits are often topped with a frivolous hat. Fast forward to the season that just aired, it took place in the roaring twenties and the women's waist line dropped and they are sporting darker toned flapper inspired dresses and the Marcel Wave in their hair.
I cannot wait to see what next season has to offer.
But back to the silly video I found that has made my day!
Two things that don't belong together: Downton Abbey and One Direction make this a brilliant mash up!
When I reflect on these past two years, I know that God really played a part in our relationship. The hubby and I make great partners, buddies and supporters of each other. God has graced me with the most patient, kind and generous man. I can't imagine spending my life with anyone else.
I'm lucky that this man puts up with me and all my craziness.
I know this man was tailor made just for me and that increases my faith and trust in God. He really does have a hand our life and we are just two little people in this huge world and yet He still knows us and loves us!

Reflections from the wedding day...
This was one of my favorite pictures.
I painted on this record, because I did that for our engagement photos.
I came up with the idea because when the hubby proposed, I was wearing a necklace with a pair of Buddy Holly glasses on it. Somehow, I linked the necklace, I was wearing with records, and thought I should paint them and they could look great in our engagements photos.
These pictures turned out exactly how I wanted them to.
Instead of a wedding cake, we opted to have a dessert table. I love sweets, so leave it to me to offer a wide variety of desserts at my wedding.
I loved my long veil, blue shoes and bouquet.
The favorite part of our wedding, and most nerve wrecking for the hubby, had to be our first dance. The hubby is not exactly a dancer and we surprised everyone with this little number.
We chose the song by Bjork called, It's Oh So Quite.
The new Mumford and Sons album is highly anticipated in my household. Yesterday, the new single was officially released! I had to bump the old idea for this one for my husband's excitement alone. I know he is going to be pumped when he sees this and nothing makes me happier then to see him excited! Enjoy the new single, I will wait.
FLASHBACK...
See the look in the hubby's eyes... This was right before we saw Mumford and Sons at Memphis in May in 2011. We made our way towards the front of the stage to get as close as the good Lord would let us!
Look, it is Marcus Mumford!
Side note: We saw Jake Gyllenhaal on the side of the stage during this performance, but I couldn't get a clear photo of him.
If you couldn't tell by the title of my blog... I love The Wizard of Oz!
That movie has given inspiration is many areas of my life.
It was my favorite movie growing up, I mean come on... this girl's whole life changed because of a pair of shoes! Kidding...
When I first learned they were going to remake this classic film, I'd be lying if I said I was thrilled. I worried they may mess with everything that I loved about the movie. But now that the Oz the Great and Powerful's trailer was released at Comic Com, I can let you all know that I am officially stoked!
Well, come spring 2013, we will get to watch the classic movie with a new twist. This film focuses on the life and story of The Wizard, not Dorothy. The story will be told through the direction of Sam Raimi, the man responsible for the Spiderman trilogy. This movie stars some of my favorite actors:
James Franco: The Wizard
Michelle Williams: Glinda
Mila Kunis: Theodora, the Wicked Witch of the West
Rachel Weisz: Evanora, The Wicked Witch of the East
Are you going to be in first in line to see this movie too?
This week's video is dedicated to my niece! The video below features Maroon 5's new song, One More Night which is the niece's favorite band. Minka Kelly, is the leading lady and since the hubby and I watched Friday Night Lights, she's been one of my favorites.
I got to take my niece to see Maroon 5 and Train this past fall.
She was absolutely ecstatic the whole night!
I don't know how I can ever top that birthday present.
If you haven't seen this YouTube video, you must take the time to watch it!
It is so inspiring to see what the body is capable of doing.
Arthur Boorman is an Army Vet, who served us during the Gulf War as a Paratrooper, and during that time his knees and back were badly damaged. To get around, Arthur was required to wear knee braces and use canes.
He was told he would never walk on his own again...
I don't know if Arthur Boorman is a Christian but his story reminds me of the song by Chris Tomlin, Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone.)
My chains are gone I've been set free My God, my Savior has ransomed me And like a flood His mercy rains Unending love, Amazing grace
As a Christian, I am inspired by this man and his story. God can change your life and take you out your darkest days. When you are your loneliest, most depressed and uninspired times, He can change your heart and make it full.
I believe God gets the Glory of this transformation. With Him by our side, we can accomplish more than we ever imagined.
The hubby and I have completed the Friday Night Lights series.
We came across FNL one night when we were wanting to watch a show that neither of us had ever watched. Little did we know that we would fall completely in love with the show.
It's the kind of show that you keep saying to yourself, one more episode when you know it's entirely too late to be up. It will make for a long day at work, but really, you don't care. You just have to know what happens next.
I have to admit, I may have jumped up and down at a couple game scenes, like I was watching a real game. My heart too belongs to Dillon, Texas.
Here is a clip that gives you some insight about what the show was all about.
And if you have Netflix, you can stream the entire series.
This is the kind of show that makes you want to be a better person.
So I love The Voice and last year my number one was the number two, Dia Frampton. Her voice is unlike anyone else's. This song, Don't Kick the Chair is a great song to listen to when you are upset because its upbeat and can turn your attitude all around.
I was dancing to this all morning getting ready for work!
This is a video of dad who plays Queen on the kids way to school. The song usually lasts from their driveway to the school yard.
This is my future family! I would love to have a sweet and cute tradition just like this! I believe I would be more likely to sing along then my hubby would be with the future babinos.
Every Monday and Tuesday night you can bet I'm sitting in front my television watching The Voice!! I cannot get enough of this show. I can't say that I followed the show last season, like I have this season, but I will probably follow it from now on.
This past week one of my favorite performances was from Tony Lucca! It was so fun because he was a former mouseketeer singing in front a former cast member, another cast member's song!
Confusing? Well, Tony was on the Mickey Mouse Club with Christina and he did his on rendition of Baby One More Time. Genius!
Enjoy!
Now we should hope for one crazy cool reunion group! Tony, Justin, Britney, Christina and maybe Ryan Gosling should be there too. What a good looking group of people.
So I went away for a short while. My friend Leigh and I took a trip to see the little sis in NYC! More on that soon! Until then, I want to share this video of this Russian dog like cat. I am not normally a cat person, but there is something about this cat that makes it so darn cute! Maybe I love her because she's Russian and that whole country holds a special place in my heart.
Awesome name by the way. Thank you for making my week! I think I must have played this clip 6 times in a row the first day and every other day this week.
